LICENSING IN THE AGE OF INNOVATION:
THE ASIA PACIFIC STORY
The challenges of this decade will need to be solved by human ingenuity. With the start of the decade beset by a pandemic coupled with climate change on a global scale, the obstacles seem daunting. Nevertheless, the advent of crisis heralds the spark of innovation and creativity to solve such problems. The Age of Innovation will see new ideas, new thinking and adoption of new technology for the betterment of mankind. At this conference, we seek to explore the potential of harnessing Intellectual Property and managing the IP rights in this innovative age. We will look, through the lens of the Asia Pacific community, what IP strategies to adopt in the “New Normal’, discuss how start-ups and SMEs can use IP to bring new value, how copyright issues arise from the pandemic, to seeking innovation in a US-China trade war. These and other myriad topics will be discussed by leading experts to share the latest information, provoke engaging thoughts and provide impetus for new collaborations. We will end with a light hearted note with a trivia quiz led by the YMC, who are the future of the LES community.
