Is Your Event Permissible in Singapore?
Confused about what is or isn’t permissible for an Event in Singapore? Here is a quick guide to keep you in the loop.
What's allowed? As updated by Singapore Tourism Board(STB) on 19th November the following events are permitted:
1 - Within the workplace and at outside venues with up to 50 persons at any one time:
Work Related Events e.g. Conferences, seminars, AGM’s, Award & promotion ceremonies, ground breaking, commemorative ceremonies
In-House Training & Education Courses with 3rd Party Service provider
Consumer Facing events e.g Product launches, roadshows fairs, marketing and branding events at hotel function rooms
The above events do not require pre approval form STB but are subject to strict Safe Management Measures
Please note that the prevailing respective sector specific requirements and Safe Management Measures under the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020 and the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Performances and Other Activities – Control Order) Regulations 2020 continue to apply.
Workplace events which are substantially recreational or social in nature (such as gala dinners, networking functions, company D&Ds) are currently not permitted.
2 - MICE Events up to 250pax
These events require pre-approval application from STB
B2B events only for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions
Not consumer facing (B2C) e.g. roadshows, product launches, fairs, marketing and branding events etc.
Not predominantly social in nature
5 zones of 50pax
